Our new purpose designed pre-school has been awarded an Early Years good practice Certificate by Wiltshire Early Years Team.

Since opening in 1984 Great Cheverell Pre-School has provided warm and friendly care to a generation of local children.

Set within the grounds of Holy Trinity Primary School, our brand new classroom is well equipped with the resources needed to provide your child with an interesting and varied learning experience, whilst the warm, bright and welcoming atmosphere offers a fun and relaxed setting in which your child can feel safe and secure.

Traditionally, the Pre - School has enjoyed good strong links with the primary school and the older children will gradually get to know their reception class teacher and their classroom in preparation for their entry to school.

With a friendly team of qualified staff, we offer a high standard of care and education for the under 5´s, where children "play to learn" under the guidance of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

Our aims at Great Cheverell Pre - School are to:-

• Provide high quality care and education for children primarily below statutory school age,
• To work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop their knowledge and understanding of themselves, others and the world around them through constructive, supervised play and education.
• Add to the life and well being of its local community and
• Offer children and their parents a service, which promotes equality and values diversity

We know our children and their families well, and enjoy a close partnership with parents. We welcome parents into the classroom and encourage you to be a part of your child’s learning.
Starting pre-school can be a stressful time for both you and your child. You will never be expected to just drop your child at the door unless you and your child feel comfortable, and we are happy for you to stay as long as you like while your child settles in.
